![]() The visuals will help them understand how to properly form letters, and how letters compare in size to one another. This is so helpful because kids will understand what you mean when you say that a lowercase “h” starts at the sky line, and a lowercase “n” starts at the plane line. And then there is an additional line called the worm line (because the worm is underground!), which helps them understand how to draw letters such as “g” or “y” that have tails that go below the grass line. The middle dotted line is the plane line because the plane is flying through the air! The bottom line is called the grass line.
